Sorry to say, it hasn't worked.

Haven't changed my opinion on him – he's good and bad, and I think the bad gets exaggerated at the expense of the good – but I truly fear for Liverpool's midfield against Spurs if they play 4-4-2. And, not even considering red card, Adam was truly awful in his 27 minutes last time Liverpool faced Spurs.

The more I think about it, the more 4-1-4-1 – Spearing; xxx-Gerrard-Adam-xxx – is probably more probable, though.natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10043601945557998732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-61564284183161014732012-02-03T18:03:32.648-05:002012-02-03T18:03:32.648-05:00I love you for dropping Adam in your potential lin...I love you for dropping Adam in your potential lineup. Honestly, I get a lot of my reserves/u18 information from the long-standing youth thread on RAWK. As with everything on that site, have to wade through some nonsense, but less than usual in that thread, and some very well-informed posters make it worthwhile.
Also, there's @liverpoolyouths and @malbennett29 on Twitter, if you use that, who write about the kids a lot.

And LFC aren't in the NextGen loser's bracket anymore. Tottenham withdrew today, ostensibly due to fielding an ineligible player against Liverpool. So LFC are back in the tourney, to face the winner of Barca-Ajax in the semi-final at Anfield.

As for Gerrard+Bellamy+Suarez, all three have barely played together this season, as Gerrard's (second) injury and Suarez's suspension were almost back-to-back. Only match all three started was 1-1 v Norwich (Bellamy subbed off in 69th). The other two matches with all three on the pitch at the same time were the final 23 minutes against Everton (both Gerrard and Bellamy came on in 67th), and the last 9 minutes against Blackburn. So a grand total of ~101 minutes.natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10043601945557998732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-81453916949186063252012-02-03T14:58:49.872-05:002012-02-03T14:58:49.872-05:00Keith-

They have had previews and reviews of (almost) every game in the NextGen series, and I trust they will continue to do so as the LFC boys continue through the losers bracket.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-80267674398725037782012-02-03T14:36:54.480-05:002012-02-03T14:36:54.480-05:00I don't see Suarez going straight into the sta...I don't see Suarez going straight into the starting XI either. I don't mean to make you dig for this...Nate --

I don't mean to make you dig for this answer, but off the top of your head, do you happen to know how many minutes LFC have had this season with Bellamy, Gerrard and Suarez all on the field together? I'd be surprised if it's >200 minutes, given how Gerrard's injury, Suarez' suspension and Bellamy's increased playing time have lined up, but I'm nonetheless curious.

Also -- unrelated to the Spurs match, but could you recommend any blogs/forums that do a good job of tracking Liverpool's academy/younger players?

Thanks as always.Keithnoreply@blogger.com
