And have it blast off today or tomorrow? Sakho for Lovren has been a critical part of the current state of the team. Not sure if that happens if Lovren was not injured. As you mentioned. Same for Can.

Lucas and Hendo protecting the back line are the business. 2 from Lucas/Hendo/Can/Allen would be good. No coasting in any 2 of those guys.

Coutinho and Lallana together are the business as well. Pressing, harrying, tackling and intercepting. Offensively, it feels like something good is about to happen every time either one of them has possession.

Swansea had plenty of possession. Not much of it resulted in dangerous opportunities at goal. Bony was a non factor for long stretches of that match. Harried them in possession pretty well all game. We had a young team out there. All 10 guys could run and compete at top level for the full 90. FSG's youth policy starting to pay some dividends.

More of all that, please.

We were a bit fortunate on Lallana's first goal and the Shelvey OG. Without those it would not have felt like such a convincing win. But, then again, on another night Sterling scores his 2 and Balo nets one of his half chances or Cou has more bend on the end of his shot to fool Fabianski or he puts that one in the top corner. Cou does seem to have found his shooting boots. Somewhat. Not full tilt quite yet, but it's looking much better. Hope that continues and improves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
