I'm also aware that there's a long list of factor to that: 2 center backs clashing in the opening minutes, unsettled players on the opening day of the season etc....

on the bright side, if we were to use last season as a benchmark, we haven't lost any points yet, contrary to what most media are raving about. if anything, we are 2 points up.vinnienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-19017033555667695862009-08-19T23:50:04.310-04:002009-08-19T23:50:04.310-04:00Good news everybody! For anyone who didn't see the game Blake came up with a wonder volley about 20 mins in. After that, except for a few offensive forays, Burnley was able to soak up the pressure. For a newly promoted team, I was impressed with Burnley too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-18792220755049323902009-08-19T19:38:16.954-04:002009-08-19T19:38:16.954-04:00I think he blew his knee out leading up to Euro 20...I think he blew his knee out leading up to Euro 2004.BackBergtthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01916269531937171514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-54608061343353949482009-08-19T19:17:54.798-04:002009-08-19T19:17:54.798-04:00well, no. Either way, it can't hurt to have some cover if he settles well.

And yup, the injury probably did play a huge part, shows just how high his standards are that a goal + fairly sharp periods raised some concerns.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11798500411641304683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-56412841146761817262009-08-19T18:18:48.735-04:002009-08-19T18:18:48.735-04:00I could kiss Glen Johnson on the mouth.I could kiss Glen Johnson on the mouth.Scottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33779660.post-36079591372713215012009-08-19T18:16:06.463-04:002009-08-19T18:16:06.463-04:00I think the "bit out of sorts" on Torres...I think the "bit out of sorts" on Torres' part can be attributed to the staples/stitches he had to get at halftime.
